TEXAS — A lawsuit has been filed against the University of Texas at Austin and former UT-Austin President Jay Hartzell by two former students and two current students who were arrested at a pro-Palestinian protest on campus in April 2024. In addition, the students are also taking legal action against the University of Texas System Board of Regents, Gov. Greg Abbott, and officers from UTPD and DPS.

TEXAS — The memorial to the 19 students and two teachers killed in the Robb Elementary School shooting in 2022 was vandalized Thursday. Authorities in Uvalde are actively pursuing those responsible for the incident. “This act is not only senseless, it is cruel, and it has inflicted more pain on families who have already endured unimaginable loss,” the Uvalde Police Department posted on Facebook. The police department has yet to release information regarding the full extent of the damage.

TEXAS — From the Bluebonnet immigrant detention facility in Texas, detained men stood together and created a large “SOS” signal visible to a passing drone, according to reports. According to Reuters, 31 men gathered together at the facility in Anson, Texas, to create the signal.
