AUSTIN, Texas — For undocumented students that rely on the "Texas Dream Act," the news of its recent repeal has them left with uncertainty and fear over their futures. On Monday, Austin Community College (ACC) announced it is joining the legal battle to gain clarity over whether the law is constitutional. A spokesperson for the college said the Board of Trustees made the decision to file a motion, but as of Tuesday, it hasn't been filed.

AUSTIN, Texas — The staff at Texas Humane Heroes in Leander have some heroes to call their own. After 15 years without air conditioning units, on Monday, staff at Austin Air Conditioning came in and installed three units at the animal shelter – for free. Chief Development Officer Jayne Whisnant said the reason the shelter has never had an HVAC system is because of the cost. Over the years, staff has relied on fans and water activities to keep the animals cool during heat waves.
