    HARPER, Texas — Crews are battling a 75-acre wildfire near Fredericksburg on Tuesday evening. The fire, named the Reverse Fire, is burning near the 400 block of E. Grand Oaks Drive in Harper, about 10 miles west of Fredericksburg, in a rural area heavily covered in cedar trees, Fredericksburg Fire EMS said. As of around 9 p.m., it was 45% contained. The fire began around 2:45 p.m. and was moving eastward, sparking spot fires.

    AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department has identified a man arrested following a crash that killed Killeen Fire Department Cpt. Marvin Taylor III on Sunday morning. Rodney Bremby, 34, was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter in connection with the crash. Taylor was killed when he was rear-ended by a speeding SUV in the 600 block of E.

    AUSTIN, Texas — The Travis County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a woman was stabbed to death on Monday. Deputies were called to a home in the 14500 block of Oliphant St. around 4 p.m. in Austin's Colony neighborhood. Deputies arriving at the scene found the woman in her 50s with stab wounds. CPR was administered, but she died at the scene at 4:36 p.m. The sheriff’s office identified the suspect as the victim’s ex son-in-law, 34-year-old Ananias Jimenez-Arroyo.

    BASTROP COUNTY, Texas — Three people are dead after a crash on May 10 in Bastrop County, Texas. According to the Texas Highway Patrol, the collision happened between two vehicles on Saturday morning along State Hwy 71, not far from McAllister Road. Officials said the driver of a 2022 Tesla vehicle was heading westbound on the eastbound lanes of the highway, when they began driving toward a 2010 Nissan Sentra.
