A local man is facing charges after cocaine, marijuana, and thousands in cash were seized. According to police, at approximately 1:45 p.m., on Wednesday, officers assigned to the Drug Control Units of District A-7 (East Boston) and C-6 (South Boston) arrested Anthony Francisco, 34, of Fall River, on drug trafficking charges. Officers were conducting a drug investigation and execution of search warrants in the area of 34 Westwind Road in Dorchester.

A young college student from Rhode Island has died suddenly and unexpectedly. Paige Moreau was a 22-year-old architecture student at Roger Williams University and a native of Manville, Rhode Island. Moreau was a standout student, cheerleader, and community member who was pursuing a degree in architecture. She earned Dean’s List honors for multiple semesters (Spring 2023, Fall 2023, and Fall 2024) and received the Resident Assistant of the Year Award for her leadership and dedication.
