Multiple people were injured after a local crash on Thursday afternoon. The Lakeville Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident at approximately 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Taunton and Bedford Streets (Route 18). Due to reports of multiple patients, a recall was transmitted for supplemental staffing. Ambulance 2, Ambulance 3, Engine 1, and Car 2 were dispatched to the scene. EMS personnel evaluated a total of four patients.

BOSTON – A Dominican national, residing in Fall River, pleaded guilty today in federal court in Boston to charges related to passport fraud and other offenses. According to the Massachusetts Department of Justice, 49-year-old Hector Eduardo Arias Mejia was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Richard G. Stearns to two years and one day in prison and one year of supervised release. The defendant is also subject to deportation upon completion of the imposed sentence.

BROCKTON – A Middleborough man was found guilty of two counts of First-Degree Murder stemming from a 2020 incident where he killed both of his parents, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz has announced. Today, Ryan True, 25, was convicted following a 7-day jury trial in Brockton Superior Court. Sentencing is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. tomorrow. On the morning of December 10, 2020, Middleborough Police responded to a home at 3 Highland Street to conduct a well-being check.

BOSTON – A Lynn, Mass. man was sentenced today in federal court in Boston for his role in a large-scale drug trafficking organization on the North Shore of Massachusetts. In November 2023, millions of doses of fentanyl and methamphetamine laced pills and powder, with street value estimated to be over $7 million, was seized from a stash location and clandestine laboratory used by the organization.
