LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - The Las Vegas convection oven will be on full blast later this week as a strong area of high pressure will be moving in for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Today, we’re expecting partly cloudy skies and gusty winds at times, but we will stay very warm with a high temperature of 97°. Temperatures continue to warm, with temperatures climbing to over 100° by Thursday.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Las Vegas is hours away from major traffic changes along the Strip. Roads surroundings the Tropicana could shut down as early as 11 p.m.With nearly 2,100 pounds of explosives ready to be detonated come early Wednesday morning at the Tropicana hotel, that means both towers will be coming down. According to Clark County officials and RTC, streets will be shut down including Reno Avenue at Giles along with Koval Lane near the MGM hotel.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - It’s a sign that the Las Vegas Grand Prix is around the corner: the trees in front of the Bellagio Fountains are coming down. A recent F1 construction update announced major traffic closures along the Strip starting late on Sunday, Sept. 15. The closures will aid MGM in the construction of the Bellagio Fountain Club, but are expected to impact both drivers and pedestrians.
