Columbia College softball's season came to an end Wednesday after it lost 5-3 in extra innings in the winners bracket to No. 2 seed William Woods, and losing 6-5 in its elimination game against fourth-seeded Williams Baptist University this afternoon in Conway. Down 3-0 entering the sixth inning, junior right fielder Cassidy Avery slapped a double to left field, scoring senior left fielder Ellie Kliethermes to make the score 3-1.

By Kennedy Choo,Evan Crowell Columbia College women's golf won its fourth-consecutive AMC Tournament title Tuesday, shooting 43-over 613 as a team across the two-day tournament. The Cougars shot 18-over 306 on Day 2 at Cooper's Hawk Golf Course in Melbourne, Arkansas. Freshman Ellie Soderholm finished the tournament in first place, shooting 2-over 146 for the AMC championship. Sophomore Viviana Boix came in second, shooting 153 . Junior Camryn Swinfard tied for sixth place, shooting 159.

Missouri softball beat No. 15 Mississippi State 12-8 on Saturday in Starkville, Mississippi, snapping a five-game losing streak in the process. An active fourth inning ultimately won the game for Mizzou. Sophomore left fielder Claire Cahalan broke a 5-all tie with an RBI single, then sophomore third baseman Madison Walker followed with a grand slam, her 15th home run of the season, to extend the Tigers' lead to 11-5.

With 1:20 left in the fourth period, freshman attacker/midfielder Nico Andrews ripped a goal past the Spartan goalkeeper to trim the Spartans' lead to 17-15. The Cougars were down 13-8 to begin the final frame but had a late push to make it close.
