Pathways to Healing’s annual Walk a Mile in Our Shoes starts Tuesday, April 22 at the State House. The opening ceremony starts at 6 p.m. and the actual walk starts at 6:30 p.m.Pathways’ Executive Director Rebecca Lorick & Keynote Speaker Sims Tillirson says this event will raise funds to help the non-profits efforts to help victims of sexual violence. (WOLO) – If you have a talent for poetry, you can let your voice heard through a special showcase this month!The Rebirth Annual Spoken Word Showcase starts Sunday, April 27 at 4 p.m. at the Koger Center for the Arts. Curtis spoke with Doris Drake and Deborah Mitchell of the Rebirth Enterprise Youth Development Program, about how this event gives the youth and young adults the opportunity to express themselves through the various forms of spoken word.

ORANGEBURG CO., S.C. (WOLO) – South Carolina Highway Patrol says a bicyclist was killed in a hit and run involving two vehicles overnight. Lance Corporal Brittany Glover says it happened at approximately 3:35 a.m. on U.S. Highway 321 at River Rest Road. According to Lance Corporal Glover, the pedestrian was on their bicycle travelling south in the roadway when two vehicles struck them. The victim died on scene from their injuries and both vehicles fled the scene.
