The Nipomo baseball team made sure its Ocean League baseball game at Santa Maria Tuesday would not go the scheduled distance. The Titans scored 10 runs in the top of the fifth inning, Jayden Lanier got the last out in relief of Nipomo starter Griffin Groshart, and the Titans won 16-2. The game was called after five innings because of the run rule. Lanier needed to face just one batter to get the last out after Groshart gave up just four hits in his 4.2 innings pitched.
