LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - The Raiders have traded for the second time in round two of of the 2025 NFL Draft. The silver and black made a deal with the Miami Dolphins for the 37th overall pick. The organization then traded their 48th pick with the Houston Texans for the 58 and 99 spot. The Raiders select TCU wide receiver Jack Bech for the 58th overall pick. Iowa State cornerback Darien Porter. Texas Tech offensive tackle Caleb Rogers.
Las Vegas Motor Speedway NASCAR truck series race faces multiple rain delays

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A light mist at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway caused Friday night’s truck series race to be delayed for a short time. On Friday evening the caution flag came out 25 laps into the race and a short time later the trucks were parked while the track workers dried the surface dry.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - The Las Vegas Raiders have fired their head coach Antonio Pierce. The team wrapped up the season at 4-13. Pierce, no doubt, was dealt a lousy hand this season. The Raiders weren’t considered playoff contenders in training camp, and that was before a scourge of injuries that hit a number of top players, including defensive linemen Maxx Crosby, Christian Wilkins and Malcolm Koonce.
Vegas Golden Knights misfit signs extension to 2032

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - The Vegas Golden Knights signed an original misfit until 2032. The NHL team signed Shea Theodore to a 7-year contract extension. The extension goes through the 2031-32 season with an average value of $7.425 million. Theodore is one of the few remaining original misfits that has been with the franchise from the very beginning. In 450 career games with Las Vegas, Theodore leads the all-time VGK list in scoring 296 points.

Maci Joncich will represent her country at the Flag Football World Championships in Finland this summer. “I was just overjoyed with happiness and I immediately started reflecting back on how long this has taken me to do and the journey I’ve been through,” Joncich said. Joncich is the youngest member of the national team.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - On Super Bowl Sunday, football fans will be hear a voice booming through Allegiant Stadium. But it won’t necessarily be Patrick Mahomes or Brock Purdy. It will be Beer Man Bruce. “Beer!” is the calling of Henderson resident Bruce Reiner who has been selling beers at sporting events mostly around Southern Nevada for 25 years. His loud booming voice and ability to make people laugh – and buy beer – have earned him the name Beer Man Bruce from fans of all sports.

Both the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49′ers landed in the host city Sunday, and FOX5 was the only station to catch the 49′ers checking at their Lake Las Vegas hotel Sunday night as their fans cheered outside. Having both teams here is a true sign that the countdown to kickoff is on. The Kansas City Chiefs and the Niners arrived within an hour of each other.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - The Las Vegas Raiders have found their next offensive coordinator. The team is hiring former Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury to oversee the offense. Kingsbury is known for pass-heavy offenses that spread things out. He had mixed results during his tenure with Arizona (28-37-1), which ultimately led to his firing. Last season, he was a senior offensive analyst at USC.
