The fire happened before 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, at the Sunnydale Mobile Home Park just off Zumbehl Road. Firefighters arrived in the 200 block of Pinedale Drive to find the mobile home fully engulfed. A mother and one of her children managed to escape, but the two-year-old was trapped inside.

ST. LOUIS – A former deputy with the City of St. Louis Sheriff’s Office turned himself in to investigators Thursday afternoon over allegations of sexual misconduct at the city’s jail. James Short, 26, surrendered at the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s headquarters downtown, according to police spokesman Mitch McCoy. The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office charged Short with two counts of sexual conduct in the course of public duty, both felonies.

According to the Overland Police Department, the shooting happened just before 5:45 a.m. on July 7 at Page Avenue and Interstate 70.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A teenager from Vinita Park is charged as an adult for his role in a vehicle shooting last summer in Overland. According to the Overland Police Department, the shooting happened just before 5:45 a.m. on July 7 at Page Avenue and Interstate 70. Police said Shawn Duckworth and another juvenile were driving a stolen 2017 Nissan Altima when they pulled alongside another vehicle at the stoplight. Duckworth and his cohort began harassing the female driver of the other vehicle.
