The business, celebrating its 65th anniversary this year, was established by Armstrong’s grandfather. Big burgers to raise funds for tiny homes to help veterans

When the inaugural Burgerfest kicks off at The District in Chesterfield on Oct. 27, organizers are hoping the event will yield big results in the form of tiny houses. Funds raised during the Burgerfest will support the local nonprofit Veterans Community Project (VPC)’s tiny house village, which aims to provide St. Louis’s homeless veterans with a safe, secure transitional housing solution. The VPC tiny house village was first established eight years ago in Kansas City.
