BAFANA Bafana coach Hugo Broos is not losing sleep over the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Group B clash against neighbours Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe’s senior men’s national team were drawn in the same pool as top seeds Egypt, South Africa and Angola in a draw for the final tournament which was conducted in Morocco on Monday.
Michael Nees’ men will start off the campaign with Egypt before playing Angola and rounding off with their neighbours.

HARARE, Jan 30 (NewsDay Live)- Two losing Zifa presidential aspirants Twine Phiri and Philemon Machana have approached the Court of Arbitration for Sport seeking nullification of results of the elections held on Saturday citing alleged third-party interference.
The two football administrators claim that controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo tilted votes in favour of the winning candidate Nqobile Magwizi by promising vehicles to councillors who formed the electoral college.

Warriors coach Michael Nees is remains confident that the team will go beyond the Group stages of the this year's Africa Cup of Nations tournament despite placing in a tough pool.
The Zimbabwe senior men's national team were drawn in Group B alongside record winners Egypt, former champions South Africa and Angola, who reached the quarter finals in the last edition. Nees, who attended the draw ceremony in Morocco is looking forward to the three match.

ZIFA presidential aspirant Walter Magaya has challenged the demand for an O’ Level certificate for candidates bidding to contest for the association’s president and vice- president positions at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas).
Magaya admits that he did not submit an O’ Level certificate but argues that he deposited superior qualifications to the electoral committee.
He was barred from contesting the January 25 Zifa elections on the basis that he did not submit an O’ Level certificate.

The matter will be heard this morning before High Court Judge Justice Chitapi and Zifa are hoping that they can win the case on the basis that the matter is already before Cas. whose outcome will be crucial in the holding of board elections on January 25.
The holding of the elections on the day faces three challenges which include one before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) applied by Benjani Mwaruwari and Gift Banda as well as another High Court case filed by Temba Mliswa.

Martin Kweza has big plans for Zimbabwean football. The man that has led the Northern Region Division One Soccer League to score many success stories, wants to elevate the national game so that Zimbabwe can be a world class football country.
Kweza is one of the six candidates for the Zifa president post, which will be contested in a ballot on January 25.
To many, Kweza is the hot favourite for that post having honed his skills over a period of 25 years in the game's structures.
