A motorist caught driving a £200,000 SUV on a busy Northampton road while using a mobile phone has been handed a hefty court bill by local magistrates. According to court documents, 28-year-old Naser Rahmani denied driving a Lamborghini Urus V8 S ‘supercar’ while using a hand-held mobile telephone on Mereway in June, 2024. Mr Rehmani, of Alington Crescent, Brent, was found guilty at a hearing on April 11 and fined £369.

A Northampton motorist lost his licence after being caught speeding on the M1 FOUR TIMES in lass than two weeks. According to court documents, Vlad Ungur admitted being behind the wheel of an Audi A4 which was clocked travelling at more than 60mph while a 50mph temporary speed restriction was in force on the stretch of 'smart' motorway between junctions 16 and 19.

Northampton rail users are being told not to travel to and from London by train over the Easter 2025 weekend as engineering work shuts lines for THREE DAYS. Network Rail is warning that no services will run south of Milton Keynes on Easter Saturday (April 19), Sunday and Monday while rail replacement buses will shuttle passengers between Northampton and MK on Sunday and Monday as engineers work to complete the rail link to the SEGRO Logistics Park.
