EL PASO COUNTY — Nearly 5,600 pounds of meat from the El Paso County Fair Junior Livestock sale were delivered Wednesday morning to the Springs Rescue Mission. 17 buyers, including the nonprofit group Protein 4 Helping Others, purchased the meat from the sale and donated it to the rescue mission for their meals and culinary training. El Paso County says this year's donation doubled from the previous year.

COLORADO SPRINGS — Wednesday is day two of Amazon Prime Day, and our cameras were at the company's fulfillment center in Colorado Springs as employees worked to get out millions of orders from that facility. 60% of sales for Prime Day come from small and medium sized business, while 8,500 of them are based in Colorado. That team has been preparing for this event for some time now. This is the 10 year of Amazon Prime Day.

COLORADO SPRINGS — USA Pentathlon Multisport is hosting an open training camp this week in Colorado Springs ahead of the national championships on Saturday. This week's training is also an opportunity to be recruited for competition in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. Camp attendees are invited to train and test their skills with coaches and seasoned Olympians. They spent Tuesday morning practicing in the ninja obstacle.

GREEN MOUNTAIN FALLS — The Green Box Arts Festival is back in Green Mountain Falls for the 16th year. It's a two-week event which offers visual and performance-based classes, conversations and concerts. There are more than 140 events going on that feature world class artists and performers. News5 spoke with Scott Levy, the Executive Director of the Green Box Arts Festival, who told us it's about bringing arts and culture to the Pikes Peak region.

CRIPPLE CREEK — The 27th 'Once Upon a Time in the West' art show is underway in Cripple Creek. It's at the Heritage Center, which is located on Highway 67 as you make your way down the hill into town. The event celebrates Western and Native American Heritage through pottery, jewelry, and paintings. Eleven local Teller County artists had work featured in this year's show.
