I’m prepared for the fact that a lot of people might not agree with some of the things I say in this one. I don’t know if my beloved will totally agree on some of these things so you know I’m taking a chance here. First off, depending upon when you are reading this, Happy Easter, everyone. At the end of this month, the public is invited to laugh along with a production of Love’s Labour’s Lost, performed by members of Holy Family Homeschoolers’s high school drama club. Holy Family Homeschoolers is a support group for Catholic homeschooling families throughout the Diocese of Madison. One of William Shakespeare’s early comedies, the play is suitable for families with children of all ages and is sure not to disappoint.

As we come to the end of our Lenten journey and enter Holy Week, the readings for Palm Sunday center around the suffering and death of Jesus Christ, reminding us of the transformative power of His sacrificial love. We are challenged in these final days before Easter to remain faithful and steadfast in our own lives, following Christ’s example of humility and obedience.

Ask me about what film won “Best Picture” this year or what is currently playing at the movie house and I couldn’t give you answers to either. Ask me what Greta Garbo’s first film produced in the United States was, what early 1920s D.W. Griffith film experimented with sound, or what Charlie Chaplin feature from 1923 caused some controversy because his “Tramp” character doesn’t appear in it, and I can totally converse with you.

Fr. Gary Krahenbuhl called it an “opportunity and [a] privilege to unite together two distinct, holy, and stable parishes [and] to create something new — the parish of Queen of Apostles.”For the sixth time, as part of the Diocese of Madison’s Into the Deep comprehensive strategic planning process, multiple parish communities have been brought together as a new and merged parish. Queen of Apostles Parish is made up of the former St. Dennis Parish and St. Peter Parish, both in Madison.
