EAST HAMPTON, Conn. (WTNH) — More than a dozen East Hampton Public School teachers could be at risk of losing their jobs for the next fiscal school year in July. According to Timothy Van Tasel, the East Hampton Superintendent, the town is facing a Board of Education budget cut of more than $730,000. Between 10-15 staff members could lose their jobs. Some staff already received non-renewal notices for the next fiscal school year.

Starting this week, alert letters will be mailed to vehicle owners, informing them of potential unpaid taxes and what’s required to come into compliance. While most vehicle owners pay their taxes, Mayor Justin Elicker told News 8, there are many who do not, which can impact essential services in the city.
