A 50-year-old volleyball coach was arrested April 3 in relation to an ongoing sexual assault investigation in North Vancouver, police say. According to Mounties, on Dec. 22, 2024, they received a report that a youth had allegedly been sexually assaulted by a volleyball coach. Corp. Mansoor Sahak, media liaison officer for the North Vancouver RCMP, says the investigation involves allegations that potentially occurred over several years.

By Raynaldo Suarez, Kier Junos An investigation is underway after two people were killed in a plane crash in Chilliwack over the weekend. Chilliwack RCMP say the Cessna 1720-S crashed southeast of the Chilliwack Lake just after 3:30 on Saturday afternoon. The Transportation Safety Board says the aircraft is owned by the Chinook Helicopters Flight School of Abbotsford. It is not clear how many people were on board.
