A woman was sentenced to 12 months in prison for hitting a local election official in the face at a polling location in Raymond, N.H, two years ago, officials said Tuesday. Tina Thomas, 54, of Raymond, , pleaded guilty in Rockingham County Superior Court to one count of assaulting a town election officer, Attorney General John M. Formella’s office said in a statement.

Multiple small boats were found flipped upside down in the Charles River on Tuesday evening,Massachusetts State Police said. At 5:51 p.m., troopers responded after receiving a 911 call reporting the boats in the water, according to Trooper Brandon Doherty, a spokesperson for the State Police. “All parties were accounted for” at 6:06 p.m., Doherty said. It is unclear how many people were on the boats at the time of the incident. State Police deployed patrols and its Marine Unit to the scene, he said.

Police identified two men on Tuesday who were found shot inside a home in Springfield earlier this month and later died at the hospital, according to Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni’s office. Springfield residents Noe Martin, 55, and Justin Santiago, 35, were found suffering gunshot wounds inside a home on the 0 to 100 block of Hebron Street, prosecutors said in a statement. On April 2 at 5:40 a.m., police responded to reports of two gunshot victims at the home, the statement said.
