Next month, a 151 unit apartment complex will finally open years after construction first began. “Oh, man, it used to be really dead down here,” shared Stephanie Thomas who lives just a few blocks off Water Street. Now signs of revitalization are everywhere you look like a mural being hand painted. When Henderson was founded in 1953, the downtown district was bustling.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Only on FOX5, Video captured the moment just before a deadly crash occurred in the southwest Las Vegas Valley when two brothers riding e-scooters were hit by a car. FOX5 went back to the scene, the intersection of Warm Springs and Torrey Pines, with Cat Velasquez, the mother of the victim in this incident. Her 22-year-old son Christopher Soto was killed. Her 14-year-old son Carlos was critically injured.

She says she has been trying to get something done about the dangerous drive for more than a decade. Now FOX5 is getting answers from the city. Sandra Broadway says because Pueblo Boulevard between Burkholder and Warm Springs is this is a straight away with no stop signs or stop lights, drivers can pick up a lot of speed.
