Hampshire County Council is hosting the events during Foster Care Fortnight, which runs from May 12 to May 25. The events will allow people to hear first-hand experiences from current foster carers and staff. The council said the events will provide an insight into Hampshire's "inclusive fostering community".

Rownhams Manor care home in Southampton celebrated its first anniversary by welcoming the Mayor of Test Valley, Councillor Ian Jeffrey. Since opening in 2024, the care home has become an integral part of the community, providing care to residents and their families.

Aaron Morgan, who races for Team BRIT, competed in round two of the Britcar Endurance Championship at Silverstone on Saturday, May 3. Team BRIT is the world's only competitive team of all-disabled racing drivers. Aaron, who is paraplegic following a motocross accident when he was 15, pairs up with Paul Fullick from Fareham, driving a McLaren 570S GT4.

2 1/1 An 'action-packed wonderland' for kids is set for Hampshire this summer. CarFest, which takes place in Overton, has announced its KidsFest 2025 plans. The annual family-fundraising festival is held each year at Laverstoke Park Farm and was founded by radio icon and car fan Chris Evans in 2011, with the first festival taking place the following year.
