    Fostering (Image: Hampshire County Council) A series of events will be held this month to give people the chance to find out more about fostering. Hampshire County Council is hosting the events during Foster Care Fortnight, which runs from May 12 to May 25. The events will allow people to hear first-hand experiences from current foster carers and staff. The council said the events will provide an insight into Hampshire's "inclusive fostering community".

Aaron Morgan, who races for Team BRIT, competed in round two of the Britcar Endurance Championship at Silverstone on Saturday, May 3. Team BRIT is the world's only competitive team of all-disabled racing drivers. Aaron, who is paraplegic following a motocross accident when he was 15, pairs up with Paul Fullick from Fareham, driving a McLaren 570S GT4.

    7 1/1 A drone manufacturer celebrated the 80th anniversary of VE Day with local veterans. Evolve Dynamics, based in north Hampshire, invited veterans to a special event on May 2. The veterans, all members of the Royal British Legion, were given the chance to fly the company's newly launched drones. They were also given a tour of the company's manufacturing floor and treated to a traditional afternoon tea.
