    March means its time for the green. It also marks the return of Jonesborough’s St. Paddy’s Celebration, set for Saturday, March 15, with a full day of Celtic-themed events. The festival is free and open to the public, running from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with live Irish music, food vendors and activities available throughout downtown. The celebration kicks off at 11 a.m. with the annual parade down Main Street, featuring floats, marching bands and St. Patrick’s Day themed decorations.

    Staff WriterJonesborough is kicking off its inaugural season of NFL Flag Football, marking what the town hopes is a major touchdown for the community. The NFL Flag Football League offers young athletes ages 5 to 17 an opportunity to get active, make friends and cultivate skills, like teamwork. In addition to the youth league, Jonesborough Parks and Recreation will also offer an Adult NFL Flag Football League, ensuring all members of the community have an opportunity to participate in the fun.
