Connie Regan-Blake will soon bring a taste of Appalachian Storytelling to Tennessee’s oldest town. You can catch Regan-Blake during her weeklong residency as part of the International Storytelling Center’s Storytelling Live series with performances set for Tuesday, June 10 through Saturday, June 14. KINGSPORT — The annual outdoor music concert series, Twilight Alive, complete with its backdrop of downtown Kingsport, is back for the summer. “For nearly 20 years the Twilight Alive Concert Series has been one of the most popular summer events held in downtown Kingsport with hundreds of people attending each and every week,” said Emily Thompson, director of Fun Fest and special events, in a press release from the City of Kingsport.

HILTONS — Nothin’ Fancy isn't just a dress code recommendation for the Carter Family Fold’s show this Saturday. It's also the band name of the group set to bring tunes to the Hiltons venue. The Carter Fold will present the Nothin’ Fancy Bluegrass Band at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, May 31, at the Carter Fold, located at 3449 A.P. Carter Highway in Hiltons, Virginia. This concert will mark the first performance at the Carter Fold for Nothin’ Fancy.
