The winner of the Baton Rouge Regional will face the winner of the Clemson Regional which includes No. 1 Clemson, No. 2 West Virginia, No. 3 Kentucky and No. 4 SC Upstate. The Tigers have earned a top-eight seed for the second time in three seasons, meaning they'll get the chance to host a super regional in Baton Rouge if they win their regional. This season marks the 28th time that LSU has hosted a regional, and the ninth time it has earned the distinction since 2012.

HOOVER, Ala. — At first, getting the week off seemingly did wonders for LSU's offense. In its first three innings at the SEC Tournament on Friday, the Tigers scored four runs on five hits. Junior Ethan Frey cracked a two-run home run and LSU held a 4-0 lead against a desparate Texas A&M team. But the next 15 innings were another story for the Tigers' bats. No. 3 LSU was held to just two hits, including none for extra bases. It worked five walks but also flew out 17 times.
