We’re enjoying a stretch of very mild and fantastic weather, with temperatures feeling more like May or early June. Yesterday marked the 17th day of 70°+ highs in Indianapolis this year, which is our highest count this early in the year since 2012. The warming trend continues today, with highs climbing into the lower 80s across many locations. Expect another day full of sunshine. However, we’re also bringing back a slight chance for rain and possibly a thunderstorm.

It will be another fantastic day across central Indiana! After reaching a high of 72° in Indianapolis on Tuesday, we’re turning up the heat even more today. Expect afternoon highs to climb into the upper 70s, and some spots could even flirt with 80°. Northern Indiana may see a few morning showers and storms, and we’ll get some high clouds passing through.

It’s a chilly start to the day thanks to a cold front that passed yesterday and less cloud cover overnight. Many across central Indiana woke up to temperatures in the 40s this morning. But even with the cool start, Tuesday is shaping up to be a beautiful spring day. With lighter winds and plenty of sunshine, temperatures will rebound nicely this afternoon. Looking ahead, we’re in for a pleasant midweek stretch.
