Creighton may not want to see Connecticut for a while. The Bluejays made it to the championship of the Big East softball tournament for the second straight year, but for the second time this postseason, the Huskies handed CU a run-rule loss. The final one was 18-4 Saturday, and ended Creighton's 2025 campaign. It came after the Jays (30-25) topped Providence 5-4 in the semifinal earlier in the day.

Tyler Gentry's two-run homer put Omaha ahead for good in the third inning while its bullpen did the rest as the visiting Storm Chasers topped Louisville 5-2 Friday night. After the Bats (18-18) jumped ahead 2-1 in the second, six Omaha relievers tossed one-hit scoreless ball the rest of the way. Louisville had two hits and two walks in those first two innings but one walk and one hit the final seven. That included Jonathan Bowlan striking out the side in the ninth inning to pick up his third save.
