In 2017, it was homemade pizza in their backyard that led to a new dream for Carol Elliott and her family. "I was changing jobs, decided I really didn't want to be part of corporate America anymore. And in the meantime our family had built one of these wood fired ovens at home and we had been working on our craft and making wood fired pizza," said Elliott.

In Central City, pears are starting to bloom and apples are just budding at Buffalo Ridge Orchard. "They planted the first apple trees in 2003 and we've been building up the business since 2012," said Marcus Johnson, Farm Orchard Manager at Buffalo Ridge Orchard. Johnson's in-laws started the orchard. It's something he and his wife continue to help grow.
