    A warm-up starting Thursday is expected to push daytime highs into the 60s, 70s and even 80s through Easter weekend in the Lehigh Valley, according to the National Weather Service. Gusty winds are still forecast, but not as strong as in recent days. The weather service recorded peak gusts at Lehigh Valley International Airport of 53 mph Tuesday at 4:14 p.m. and 36 mph on Wednesday.

    Pennsylvania’s hunting and trapping seasons are officially set, and there are some changes in store for 2025-26 — including a 10.6% increase in antlerless deer license allocations. The state Board of Game Commissioners on Saturday approved the upcoming license year’s seasons and bag limits. Among the changes that also gained approval are those affecting prospective elk hunters and white-tailed deer hunters in the Pocono Mountains region.
