Genoa, Nev. — I did a brief damage survey of the Gardnerville Ranchos on Tuesday morning. Spotted some fences down and Joe Benigno’s was doing some work, but I didn’t see a lot of shingles missing from roofs. I’m sure some folks had roof damage, but I’ve seen a lot worse over the years, including the big blow of 2015.

Genoa, Nev. — Patrons of the Minden Post Office found themselves having to egress out the ingress on Monday after a tree knocked out a power pole and transformer, closing the alley and exit onto 10th Street. Power was fully restored in Douglas County by Monday evening, though the vast majority of NVEnergy customers were back on around lunchtime.
