Anderson signed with Texas State on Monday. Anderson says she thinks she can make an impact for the Bobcats right away. “They have a great program. AUSTIN, Texas (KLTV) - After already taking down a gold medal hours prior, Lucas Cano of Gilmer became state champion again Thursday - this time for the 4A Boys’ Discus Throw competition. Cano recorded a distance of 194 feet and 2 inches during the event. He also won the 4A Boys’ Shot Put competition with a score of 60 feet and 2.25 inches. But he wasn’t the only East Texas who showed out, with Demetrius Dean of Jasper taking home the silver medal and McCager Smith of Athens winning the bronze.
