WHITEHOUSE, Texas (KLTV) - Among the six signings at Whitehouse, tennis player Luke Fleming has decided to go to Howard Payne University in Brownwood. It’s been over two decades since a tennis player from Whitehouse has received a tennis scholarship. “First in 25 years ... it’s an honor. We have a great program here. Great coaches. And just aspire to be like them. Pretty much learned the sport a lot on my own a lot of long nights, hard work and just my faith and character,” Fleming said.

TYLER, Texas (KTRE) - Former Huntington Devilette Kyra Anderson is continuing her education and basketball career at Texas State University after spending one year at Tyler Junior College. Anderson signed with Texas State on Monday. Anderson says she thinks she can make an impact for the Bobcats right away. “They have a great program. I think I can come in and make an impact on the team as is,” Anderson said.

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Spring ball for the Apaches came to an end this past Thursday, with the annual spring game. While their spring was a success, heading into fall, they have some goals set out. “That’s the big thing -- we’re coaching how we do things a lot. We’re coaching basic principles right here,” said TJC Football Coach Tanner Jacobson. One Apache is already experiencing success, and it has nothing to do with scoring touchdowns.
