The first person in a family of Mexican immigrants to be born in the United States, she was the one her mom relied on to translate legal documents as she applied for permanent U.S. residency. From a young age, Yepez Damian realized she had privileges her older sisters didn't.

Missouri women's basketball's 2024-25 Southeastern Conference schedule is beginning to take shape. The SEC announced the Tigers' conference opponents Tuesday afternoon, with eight games to be played at Mizzou Arena and eight on the road. Missouri will play 15 seperate conference opponents, only playing a home-and-away series against Oklahoma. The Tigers also host Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi State, LSU and Vanderbilt in Columbia.
