Photo by Justin Casterline/Getty Images Finding which sources are reputable and who isn’t is one of the most difficult things to parse through on the day before the NFL Draft. The Athletic’s Diana Russini told us that George Kittle wants to be the highest-paid tight end in the NFL, only for Kittle to correct her. Russini also said, “The San Francisco 49ers are expected to stick and pick, hoping for an edge rusher,” in her draft blog. Do we discredit that information, too?

Photo by Perry Knotts/Getty Images The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported that San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle wants to become the highest paid tight end in the NFL. That would mean he needs to surpass the deal Trey McBride recently signed, which was for four years and $76 million. Russini said there is no trade imminent, but other teams are monitoring the situation between Kittle and the 49ers.

Photo by Jack Gorman/Getty Images The San Francisco 49ers must prepare themselves for all situations when it comes to the NFL Draft. General manager John Lynch acknowledged as much on Tuesday when he referenced a quote from a popular Hall of Fame coach:“John Madden, at Fox, one of the things they used to say, you do all this pre-produced stuff and Madden used to ‘What happens when a game breaks out?’ I think it’s the same thing with a Draft.

Stewart played nearly 1,200 snaps & still hasn't figured out the whole 'how to play football' part. Him being an uber athlete ≠ a high upside player. Assuming the lightbulb will turn on as a pro when it didn't in college after 3 years of playing is a dangerous assumption to make

On the long list of players associated with the 49ers in Round 1, Shemar Stewart is at the absolute bottom of the list for me. The epitome of a "bull in a china shop." Breaks a lot of stuff but has no idea what it's doing there.

This lists the Broncos as a trade up candidate to 11 with the 49ers if Jeanty makes it there. Denver picks 20th. Maybe not apples to apples because it was for a QB, but the Bears gave the Giants a 5th, & future 1st/4th moving from 20th to 11th for Justin Fields in ‘21. https://t.co/GF84XA4tBz

A favorite piece to write each year…a last minute NFL draft notebook after talking to executives and evaluators across the league. Nobody is spilling major beans on their picks, but they’re helpful when it comes to figuring how positions are stacking up. https://t.co/0ClvQd5HcW

Some DTs fire up instead of out, wasting the speed you generate in your first 1-2 steps into power. You're also not covering any ground. Others are too late/wide with their hands, negating any power advantage. Here's Walter Nolen doing the opposite and playing with violence. https://t.co/WvQK6TjGja
