By LA’ERICA CONNER-SIMS, Today’s News-Herald Five individuals were taken to the hospital after their boat flipped near Lake Havasu's popular boating site, the Sandbar, early Saturday evening, May 24. Public Information Officer Gloria Orejel of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said deputies responded to the collision at approximately 5:04 p.m. Orejel stated that witnesses reported the flipped boat and multiple people in the water.
