A WA teen charged over a chilling taunt left on a Sydney mosque’s Instagram page has accepted responsibility for his actions. The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared in court in Bunbury, south of Perth, on Friday, having been charged with creating a false impression about the existence of threats or danger.

A man is in hospital with serious injuries after he was bashed by two men in a carpark in Perth’s north, police say. The victim, a man aged in his 70s, was allegedly pushed to the ground, punched and kicked by the pair outside a Hungry Jack’s restaurant in Jindalee about 3.15am on Friday. The men, who were unknown to him, fled the scene on Cockleshell Brace in a silver sedan.
