CHESTER — The lost DoorDash delivery driver who was shot while trying to deliver food was inside his car when a bullet struck him in the back, seriously injuring him, State Police said. The 24-year-old worker, originally from West Africa, was asking for directions when he was shot Friday night. The following day, police arrested the town’s highway superintendent, John J. Reilly III.

GOSHEN — Edward Holley has a new trial date for the murder of Megan McDonald, after his first trial ended up a mistrial last month. Holley will be tried again starting Oct. 8 for allegedly killing McDonald, his former girlfriend and friend, in 2003. The indictment handed up by an Orange County grand jury last year charged him with second-degree murder and alleges he did not act alone. Holley has remained in custody at Orange County Jail since Judge Hyun Chin Kim declared a mistrial on April 16.

GREENVILLE — The Greenville Drive-In, a popular northern Catskills outdoor movie theater, has announced it will not reopen for the 2025 season. Owners Dwight Grimm and Leigh Van Swall said they made the difficult decision not to reopen because they needed to focus on commitments to eldercare out of state, according to a message the couple posted to the drive-in’s website.

ALBANY — A New Paltz man has been federally charged with sexually exploiting a child using Snapchat. According to a complaint filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in the Northern District of New York, Max Fishkind, 24, used the social media app — which is primarily used to exchange private images — to persuade, induce, entice and coerce a 15-year-old into sending him sexual pictures.
