Here is what fans can learn from the 2024 Missouri volleyball season. Missouri volleyball was in a very bad state after the 2022 season, only winning 15 matches in the 2021 and 2022 seasons combined. The program that needed to be revived experienced success at a quicker pace than anyone would’ve expected.

Missouri women’s basketball takes care of Little Rock at home Missouri women’s basketball finished up a two-game homestand with a 78-49 win against Arkansas-Little Rock to extend their winning streak to four games. Guards Grace Slaughter and Nyah Wilson both shined for the Tigers with 19 points each. Slaughter accumulated her points mainly in the first half while Wilson made her impact in the second half. Wilson’s 19 points was a season high for the New Mexico transfer.

No. 25 Missouri volleyball dropped to 18-6 after taking on No. 21 Florida in a high-stakes battle between two Southeastern Conference foes. After five sets, Florida took the win, ending the Tigers’ winning streak. The first set was close from the beginning of the match, but an early 5-0 run for the Tigers was crucial. The run gave the team the momentum they needed as they won the first set 25-15 by a kill from middle blocker Colleen Finney.

Missouri volleyball improved to 18-5 after defeating the South Carolina Gamecocks in a 3-0 sweep to extend its winning streak to nine matches. The first set was a battle, as the Gamecocks were ready to play and kept it close throughout. No team had a lead higher than four points in the initial set. However, with Missouri only up by one with the set point, right side Jordan Iliff stepped up and clinched the first set win for the Tigers, 25-23.

Missouri volleyball pulled out a 3-2 win against the national champion-winning Texas Longhorns on Nov. 1. Texas sustained a lead in the first set, winning 25-21 to open the match. The first set was close as Missouri went on a 4-0 run to give them a point lead. Texas quickly responded with a 5-0, giving them a 14-10 lead. Texas held the lead, winning the Longhorns the first match. The Tigers’ offense responded with several runs in set two, evening the match with a 25-19 win.
