A juvenile in Randolph County is recovering after she was attacked by several dogs on Tuesday, according to a news release from the Randolph County Sheriff's Office. The attack happened at a home on Main Street in Huntsville. When a deputy arrived, he found the victim with "numerous lacerations" and said the dogs were still trying to attack the girl. Due to aggressive behavior by the dogs, the deputy killed at least one of the animals, according to a news release.

The Department of Veterans Affairs advised Friday that veterans at six medical centers may be impacted by a potential data breach. Truman VA in Columbia is included in that list of medical centers. According to a news release, the VA Heartland Network identified 211 veterans who received services at Truman whose data may have been compromised. That information does not include Social Security numbers or any sensitive identifying information other than names, the release said.
