Cumberland County Public Library received a $13,500 grant from The Terri Union Endowment for Women and Girls Fund from Cumberland Community Foundation, Inc. to launch coding programs for girls ages six through 17. Cumberland County Emergency Services received two AccuRAD Personal Radiation Detectors (PRDs), made possible through a grant from CSX Corporation. The radiation detectors, which are handheld, will enhance the County’s radiological response capabilities. The AccuRAD monitors were presented during the Cumberland County Fire Chiefs Association regular meeting held Monday, Nov. 25 at the Emergency Operations Center.
