Recently I went out for dinner with a friend I haven't seen for years. We ate sushi, drank cocktails and enjoyed a long overdue catch up. I'd just been paid and had money in my account so when the bill – a fairly pricey £70 each – arrived I knew I could afford it. But what was on my mind from the moment the card reader beeped? Not how nice it was to see her, or what a lovely time we had, instead I was worried sick – literally nauseous - about the money I'd just spent.

THE Easter Bunny has grown up this year, with a selection of booze-themed chocolate eggs in stores that are definitely just for the adults. Supermarket Aldi has launched an Espresso Martini choccy shell, while Lidl is also selling a tempting selection of tipple-filled treats.
