Hi friends!I’m in the process of moving this newsletter, Your Mom, to Earl Earl. Today I imported all the subscribers who only subscribed to Your Mom over to Earl Earl, and I’m working on uploading all of the prior stories from here into that newsletter as well. I have to do it manually, story by story, so it takes a minute, but I’m populating them here on this tab.

OH MAN JOHN JANNUZZI!!!! One of my actual oldest friends, he was the FIRST buddy I made on the internet and transferred into an IRL friendship, and though we don’t see each other all that often, when we do, it’s like no time has passed. We’ve been pals for, like, fifteen years or something, and we have a way of bumping into each other on, like, THE MOST consequential days of our lives. John was the last friend I saw before having Ellis in a rush crazy c-section, for example.

I’ll use almost anything as an excuse to look at jewelry - I love to browse, I love doing research, I love collecting ideas, following gem dealers on Instagram, I just really love jewelry. I love looking more than I love buying for obvious reasons (ahem…$$$) but when I do invest in something - like, really invest - it needs to be something I can see myself wearing every day.

Ok, so normally this comes out on a Saturday, but this week the snack is coming today. I got some wires crossed with my scheduling and this is what it is. Here’s what else has been going on here:On Monday, I wrote about my experience with touring and applying to preschools and elementary schools for the Your Mom section of this newsletter - if you want to get emails about motherhood and kids and all that, go here and toggle the Your Mom tab ON in your notifications.

Ok, lately I’ve really been embracing my naturally curly hair, and I really do love it so much, but it is SO HIGH MAINTENANCE. I get a zillion and ten questions about it, so I thought I would compile my whole routine here. First of all, Anthony Lillio in LA does my color, and Kate, at Lost Hills cuts my hair. In NYC I used to go to Rachel Bodt for color and Erickson for cuts (they are both AMAZING - Erickson is a curly bob whisperer). My hair is fine, and super duper curly.
