DALLAS (KDAF)– “Aesthetically pleasing” doesn’t even cover half of the description for the dainty and welcoming environment that is Society Bakery and Tea Room’s Afternoon Tea experience. And I can confirm the tea cakes and finger sandwiches taste as good as they look. Co-owner and tea sommelier, Emily Cassady, spilled the tea on the typical “afternoon tea” experience. Classic tea sandwiches decorate the table.

IRVING (KDAF)– Drizzle Cheesecakes, a State Fair of Texas icon, has brought it’s award winning cheesecakes to the Toyota Music Factory with it’s first storefront in Irving, TX. The delectable goodie shop opened in January 2025. Owner Stephen Elgidi started Drizzle Cheesecakes in 2018 and brought it to Texas in 2021. You don’t have to wait for the next Texas State Fair or Houston Rodeo to try the staples like Strawberry Crunch, Biscoff Delight, or the one that started it all, Hazelnut Deluxe.

ARGYLE (KDAF)– The cottage off the road of US-377 before Denton looks like it’d house refuge princesses, dwarves, or woodland creatures. It’s actually Kimzey’s Coffee, a whimsical cafe with traditional and seasonal drinks, baked goods and quiche that’ll bring fairies flying in. “The idea is based loosely on Carmel, CA where a lot of the buildings are in this style,” Manager Connor Patterson explained.

TikToker and trule pop culture icon, Olsen explained he goes with the flow of the audience. For example, Chris Karaoke switches up to the audience with different Disney and Glee jams.
