CARROLLTON (KDAF)– Pho Xom specializes in Northern Vietnam’s version of pho, made with a cleaner and lighter tasting broth. It’s called Pho Tai Lan and features a smokey flavor thanks to the garlic wok-fried beef. The restaurant, recently rebranded to Pho Xom from Pho Spot, opened in December 2024. Co-owners and husband and wife duo, Tyler Ngyuen and Tran Tran opened the restaurant in an effort to bring a bit of Vietnam culture and authentic food to Carrollton.

CARROLLTON (KDAF)– The Ramyun Library offers a unique spin on instant ramen. You are in charge. Shop from dozens of authentic Korean ramen, customize your toppings, and cook it right in store. The owner, Jihoon Lee, demonstrated the experience. Select your ramen and up to five toppings via their digital kiosks. You can choose between ramen soup or stir fry without soup. A staff member will then bring everything out and you cook the instant ramen with their one-touch machines.
