RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Community members across the Triangle continue to fight to preserve popular mountain biking trails at Lake Crabtree County Park. They’re set to close permanently on Sunday, according to Wake County park officials, at the end of the day. “It’s got a lot going for it,” mountain biking veteran David Bourke said. “It’s unfortunate and it seems kind of useless to get rid of it.”Bourke has been coming to the park for the last 25 years.

BURLINGTON, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — Boylan won the first inning, but the Burlington Central Rockets claimed the rest of the game Saturday at the 3A Burlington Central Regional in the championship game. The Rockets defeated the Titans 7-2. The Titans jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning on a two-run triple by Charlie Maier, but the Rockets bounced back with six big runs in the bottom of the fourth. Three of those scored on a home run by Liam Schultz.

(WAVY) — Investigators with the Portsmouth Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted for making a series of threats involving bodily harm on social media. Detectives have charged 37-year-old Dominique Drewery with four counts of threatening bodily harm via electronic means. Drewery is described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall and approximately 205 pounds. The public is urged to use caution if they encounter Dominique Drewery.
