LEXINGTON, Ky. - La Familia, the University of Kentucky alumni team, hosting The Basketball Tournament’s (TBT) regional at Historic Memorial Coliseum from July 18th to July 23rd, announced today the addition of 2025 graduate Ansley Almonor to their roster. Almonor will join Aaron Harrison, Andrew Harrison, Doron Lamb, DeAndre DeLiggins, and Willie Cauley-Stein as the first six commitments for La Familia’s roster. Additional roster announcements will be made in the coming weeks.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Randall Cobb, arguably the most versatile, dynamic playmaker in Kentucky football history as a wide receiver, quarterback, punt returner and kickoff returner, has been named to the 2026 ballot for consideration for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame, the National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame announced today. Cobb is one of 79 players and nine coaches from the Football Bowl Subdivision and 100 players and 35 coaches from the divisional ranks.

The 6-foot-5 Kentucky guard ultimately chose to return to college for another season rather than remain in the NBA Draft. Last season, Oweh averaged a career-high 16.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game at UK. The All-SEC Second Team selection scored in double figures in 29 regular season games and surpassed 20 points 11 times.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander became the first Kentucky men’s basketball product to earn NBA Most Valuable Player accolades when he captured the league’s highest honor on Wednesday. Gilgeous-Alexander led the league in scoring at 32.7 points per game during the regular season. He is the first UK player to pace the league in scoring in program history.
