This was a single-center, randomized, controlled prospective study that recruited suspected GERC patients who visited our department from August 2021 to December 2022. Complete medical history, physical examination, capsaicin cough sensitivity test, chest CT or X-ray examination, pulmonary function test, histamine bronchial provocation test, induced sputum cytology examination and multichannel intraluminal esophageal impedance and pH monitoring (MII-pH) data were collected.
