SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) — A San Jose family is demanding answers after video captured police punching a man during an arrest. The man suffered a broken nose, and officers assaulted teenagers who filmed the incident, according to the NAACP. On Jan. 10, teens recorded the video near the 76 gas station off of South White Road in East San Jose.

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The San Francisco Police Department is celebrating a major drop in crime, particularly in one of the city’s most frustrating issues for drivers: car break-ins. Reports are at their lowest level in more than 20 years. SFPD Chief Bill Scott says the city’s long-standing problem with smash-and-grab car thefts is finally improving. “Despite historically low staffing, we’re making a breakthrough,” Scott said.
