Weather permitting and depending on cloud cover, a rocket launch from Florida’s Space Coast could be visible from Jacksonville Beach and Daytona Beach to Vero Beach and West Palm Beach.

Two people have died and at least six are injured following a shooting on Florida State University's campus Thursday morning. The university announced at 3:30 p.m. that "law enforcement has neutralized the threat" but warned that multiple buildings were still "active crime scenes."During a press conference, Tallahassee officials named student Pheonix Ikner as the shooter, adding he is the son of a Leon County Sheriff’s deputy and used his parent's firearm in the shooting.

There was an active shooter on campus at Florida State University today, Thursday, April 17. At around noon, the Leon County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of an active shooter in FSU’s student union. FSU students not already on campus are instructed to stay away.
