South Mississippi is ready for the party as Buc-ee's travel center opens at 6 a.m. today in Harrison County. Traffic around Menge Avenue Exit 24 of I-10 is expected to be heavy all day and possibly for weeks to come. Those who watched construction of the new interchange and the 74,000-square-foot building finally get the chance to step inside. If they aren't awake at 6 a.m., the center is open 24 hours, 7 days a week.
