The Insurance Council of Zimbabwe (ICZ) says it will host its annual charity golf day on Friday next week in Bulawayo. This year, organisers said they were looking to raise funds for Cure Zimbabwe, a Bulawayo-based organization that provides life changing surgery to children in Zimbabwe who require orthopedic care or plastic such as clubfoot, bowed legs, and knocked knees to children regardless of their economic status.

Triathlon Zimbabwe (TZ) will next month host a golf day fundraiser to mobilise funds for young triathletes taking part in international competitions. The fundraiser is scheduled to take place on February 7 at the Borrowdale Brook Golf Club Harare. The funds from the event will go towards the international tour costs.

The home of bumper harvest Seed Co continues to transform the lives of vulnerable communities following the donation of US$9 060 to two homes last week Friday as part of its celebration for its 85th anniversary. The amount of US$4 530 was donated to Mutemwa Leprosy Centre in Mutoko and another US$4 530 to Ida Wekwako Old People’s Home in Marondera. The funds were raised last year on Seed Co Annual Golf Day which was held at Borrowdale Brooke Golf Estate in Harare.

ZIMBABWE men’s handball team captain Peter Chabarwa is currently in Rwanda, where he is having trials with a top German-linked club. Chabarwa, who is also a Manyame Falcons Handball Club star player and captain, travelled to Rwanda last weekend and will be attached to German-linked club called Ubuntu. This opportunity marks a significant milestone for Zimbabwe handball, demonstrating the country’s growing presence in the international handball scene.
